AFD consultant group worked at the college

AFD consultant group paid a visit and worked at the college. International consultants were Mr. Stephan Veran – Long-term consultant of ODA-funded vocational training project management unit, Mr. Fabrice Fessard – Metal cutting consultant, Mr. Bruno Voland – Welding cutting consultant; National consultants were Mr. Ta Duy Liem – Metal cutting consultant, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang – Welding consultant and Mr. Le Minh Duc – Coordinator of AFD project (Interpreter).

Representatives of ODA-funded vocational training PMU were Mr. Luu Manh Hung and Mr. Tran Nhat Tan – Cadres of business technical department; representatives of the college were Mr. Nguyen Van An – Meritorious artist, Secretary of Party Committee, Rector of the college; cadres in Rectors Board, Heads of Departments, Faculties, Centers and Management board of Mechanics Faculty.

From March 17, 2015 to March 19, 2015, the group worked on some major issues such as Facilities, equipment of the college, training program, cooperation among the college and companies, exchange activities of students and means of communication.

Project is invested in 5 colleges with total investment capital of 33.088.978 EURO of which ODA-funded capital through AFD is 25.000.000 EURO (including a loan of 24.500.000 EURO and a non-refundable aid of 500.000 EURO) and Vietnam’s minimum reciprocal capital is more than 8.088.978 EURO.

Purposes of the project are: (i) to invest in integrated equipment of vocational training for 5 vocational colleges selected to be invested in training highly-qualified human resources towards ASEAN/ International standard, ensuring to meet the demand of labor market at the local or area; (ii) to build, write program, textbooks, teaching materials for invested trades of the project towards ASEAN/ international standard; (iii) to enhance level of management cadres, teachers of colleges benefit from the project through training vocational educational pedagogical method; (iv) to build workshop system, to improve and upgrade infrastructure in colleges benefit from the project to fit with modern training chain of training programs which are invested equipment. 5 vocational training establishments benefit from the project includes: Vocational college of Mechanics Agriculture, Vocational college of Building, Mechanics and Technique, and Dung Quat Vocational of Technique and Technology, LILAMA 2 Vocational College, Nghi Son Vocational School.
