Chief project of AFD Vocational Education and Training Unit in Paris visited the college

On December 10, 2012, Mr. Bertrand Ficini, Chief Project of AFD Vocational Education and Training Unit in Paris – France with cadres group of GDVT – MOLISA came to visit and worked at the college; welcoming the group were Mr. Nguyen Van An - meritorious artist, secretary of Party’s Cell, Rector of the college, cadres in Rectors Board, PMU officers, leaders of Automotive Faculty, Mechanics Faculty and Electricity Faculty;

At the working session, two sides discussed about recruiting strategy, training quality, employment for students after graduation, building facilities and making finance plan to operate college’s activities when the college receives investment projects.

Visiting Mechanics Faculty

The project has a total cost of 29 million Euro of which 25 million euro is funded by AFD and 4 million Euro is funded by Government of Vietnam. Fund by AFD includes a loan of Euro 24.5 million, primarily for equipment and short -term technical support, and a non-refundable aid of 0.5 million Euro used with purpose of technically advising on long-term support.

The project will mainly fund for 05 vocational schools in which 2 schools are expected to develop into highly- qualified schools meeting international standards.

Specifically, the project will support: Lilama 2 College of Technology and Technique (Dong Nai) in Welding and Telecommunications; Vocational College of Agricultural Mechanics (Vinh Phuc) in Automotive, Industrial Electricity, Metal cutting and Welding.

Three other colleges (Viet Xo Vocational College of Mechanics, Electricity and Building; Dung Quat vocational college of Technique and Technology and Nghi Son Vocational training School) will join the project though teacher training course, writing teaching materials and investing in Metal cutting and Automotive.
